The Beecher CUSD 200U Board of Education approved Health/Life/Safety Amendment No. 10 at a special meeting on Jan. 7. Chair opened the item and asked for a motion "to approve the health life safety amendment number 10 as presented." A motion and second were made and the board voted to carry the measure.
A staff member told the board the amendment is a prerequisite for using life/safety funds and applying for a related small maintenance grant: "I need to have this approved before I can apply for the small maintenance grant." The board’s recorded roll call included yes votes from Flores, Dichenko and Schrader before the Chair declared the motion carried. Staff said, if approved, they will present the related grant paperwork at the next regular meeting for submission to the state.
