Ambulance revenue tops $1.77 million as district pursues multiple grants

Deputy Chief John Clark briefed the board on grant activity and ambulance finances at the June 16 meeting. He said two Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) applications are being re-submitted — one to fund a replacement fire engine for E921 and another for cardiac monitors and defibrillators — and that a SAFER grant application is underway to support three full‑time positions. Staff also plan to pursue a HEN grant for nozzles and training and a separate grant through the Tohono Nation Tribe for a steel building at Station 92.
Chief Chris Pardi and District Manager Tracey Petrisko updated the board that renovations at Station 91 are complete. Petrisko told the board the auditor posts a journal entry to account for FY26 revenues paid early, and the meeting transcript records ambulance revenue "currently stands at $1,778,428.38, surpassing the established goal of $1.6 million."
