Raymondville ISD board approves TEKS certification, calendar and waiver request in consent vote

During the consent portion of the April 8 meeting trustees approved several general-function items important to next school year operations. The board approved TEKS certification to avoid delays in instructional materials for 2025–26, a waiver request to the Texas Education Agency for instructional days missed Jan. 21 and March 28, 2025, and adoption of proposed 2025–26 Raymondville ISD academic calendar option 2.
Trustees also approved a resolution authorizing pay for employees during the district closure related to the March 28 weather event. The consent agenda was approved unanimously (6–0) after no items were pulled for separate discussion.
