Superintendent highlights Safety City, AP test successes and summer school plans

During the superintendent’s report the board heard several operational and academic updates. Administrators said the district’s Safety City served approximately 30 children and covered stranger danger, 911 usage, water and bike safety, fire safety and bus safety; Deputy Rollins is already planning next year’s sessions and volunteers were thanked.
Staff also reported the pool filter was repaired and that Leidel is painting paneling near the high school cafeteria. Academic notes included several AP Chemistry students scoring 3 or higher, some successes in first-year AP Physics, and one student earning a 5 on the AP Biology exam without taking the course. Summer school was scheduled for July 21–August 14, 2025. The minutes also record a $100 cash donation from Kelli Tuller to the Summer Engagement Program.
