Commission backs annexation and rezoning steps for small residential attachment

Staff explained the rezoning request would change the parcel from A2 to RS1 and that the applicants plan to submit a certified survey map to split the lot into two building lots. “This is consistent with the city's comp plan and with the surrounding areas,” staff said and recommended approval.
A related resolution would amend the official map to include the annexed parcel (parcel number 80‑4‑222‑131‑0155). Ben Gentile, who identified himself with a Pleasant Prairie address, spoke briefly but raised no objection. The commission voted to approve the rezoning initiation and the official‑map amendment; the items will proceed to the common council for final action.
