Castillo highlighted school activities across the district: a culinary class preparing charcuterie displays; spirit weeks; a signing ceremony for student-athletes; a successful winter concert; a Posada multicultural celebration; and an adult transition program that ran a pop-up store and volunteer effort tied to the district's annual turkey drive.
The superintendent also noted staff-led events such as the LEAP e-sports tournament and distributed a book to trustees written by a district author who covered last season's Natomas High basketball team. Castillo closed by wishing the community happy holidays and thanking staff and volunteers.
