Village Administrator Matt Trout and Trustee Elizabeth (Lisa) Meehling reported on the recent Personnel/Police Committee meeting and the village’s health-insurance renewal process.
Trout said the committee reviewed renewal numbers and the status of the insurance stability fund and discussed moving to a health savings account (HSA) as an option. Trustees asked questions about qualifications for open positions and the hiring process; Matt, the mayor, the engineer and the public-works director planned a follow-up meeting to further define candidate qualifications.
The insurance committee scheduled a further meeting for Monday at 9:00 a.m. to continue discussions about renewals and plan design. No contractual changes were finalized at the Oct. 6 meeting.
