Freeburg police report 107 calls; K-9 kennel update and school intruder drills noted

Chief of Police Mike Schutzenhofer summarized police activity and committee items at the Oct. 6 board meeting.
Schutzenhofer said officers handled 107 calls since the prior committee meeting. He updated trustees on the K-9 kennel status and said he would address a complaint about a trailer parked on Meadow Brook. He reported the department "have done intruder drills at the high school and St. Joe's" and that officers would conduct a drill at the grade school the following day.
Trustees did not take formal action on police items at the meeting. Personnel matters such as the health insurance renewal and hiring qualifications were discussed separately under the Personnel/Police committee report.
