Board approves several routine permits, donations and a gate modification

Those approvals included a request to donate and issue a Washington Heart Municipal golf gift certificate for the Chuck Larson Memorial Golf Outing, authorization to donate an individual season pool pass and a four-pack of daily swim admissions, approval for Cheezapalooza at Veterans Memorial Park on Sept. 1, 2024 (vendors and amplified sound allowed), and a modification to open the Kennedy Drive gates on Aug. 17, 2024 for Commercial Broadcasting’s ribbon cutting.
Clerk read the items into the public hearing record and no members of the public spoke on those matters. Commissioners moved and approved each by voice vote. One item’s description read, verbatim: "Request from the following for a donation and issuance of a Washington Heart Municipal golf gift certificate," which the board approved as presented.
Where no additional conditions were discussed, approvals were administrative and organizers were directed to complete any standard permit paperwork with park staff.
