Village Engineer Tim Pruett reported progress on water‑system planning at the Aug. 18 meeting, saying the village is working with engineering firm TWM on a water tower design for the SAVE site. As part of that work, the project will require construction of a chem‑feed building to support treatment operations.
Public Works Director John Tolan added that the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) performed water and sewer inspections under the village's asset management program and that both inspections went well. Tolan also said crews have exercised valves along the older line on Route 15 and replaced a broken hydrant on Wolf Road.
