The Village of Mannsville voted to replace a failing bill acceptor used for water payments and to send existing bill and coin acceptors for refurbishment to serve as backups. Minutes note the bill acceptor is the original unit "from 20 years ago" and that bills have been getting stuck; Trustee Charlie Graves moved to purchase a new acceptor, Trustee Brandon Walizer seconded, and the motion carried.
Trustees also approved buying 35 composite lids for meter pits after staff reported that metal lids were overheating meter transmitters. Trustee Graves moved to purchase the lids; Trustee Jarod Ormsby seconded the motion and it carried. The purchases are intended to reduce equipment failures and improve meter telemetry reliability.
