Lilac Festival proceeds split among local groups; annual contracts signed and post office plow fee increased

Clerk Paula Easton reported the Lilac Festival follow-up meeting concluded successfully and the net proceeds were divided evenly between four community groups: the Fire Department, the Church, the Historical Society and the Library, with each receiving $625. The board recorded that distribution and recognized the volunteer organizing effort.
Deputy Mayor Valerie Deon signed the annual contracts for the Fire Department, Library and Historical Society. Easton also said the new contract for plowing at the Post Office raised the fee to $40 per plow. The board set the Garage/Yard Sale weekend for Aug. 8–10 and asked staff to include these dates in village communications.
