Marcel Miranda, the county's IT director, presented a three‑year renewal of the county's Esri ArcGIS enterprise agreement and said it is a sole‑source purchase because Esri exclusively licenses ArcGIS products. Miranda told the board the annual cost is about $60,300 and that legal reviewed the contract and provided an addendum to address concerns. The board approved the renewal by voice vote.
Miranda said the technology supports mapping and GIS services across nearly every department including planning, CAD and public GIS viewers used by residents. Commissioners asked whether the figure represented a price increase over last year; Miranda said there was a small increase and offered to provide prior-year numbers if the board wanted them.
