During nominations after agenda adoption, one commissioner moved to nominate Brent Springer and another seconded; the board voted by voice to approve the nomination. Chair (speaker 1) invited Springer to take the vice chair role; the newly chosen vice chair responded with brief thanks.
The meeting immediately followed with staff announcements and public comment. County Manager Coby Sawyer told commissioners the packet included a corrected purchase order for a consent-item PO that will be fixed online, and he introduced several new hires. The board later approved consent items and moved to other business, including discussion of water‑service issues and a proposed refunds policy for long-held tap deposits.
