Council awards $1.52 million resurfacing contract to Allied Paving

Director O'Connor recommended awarding the 2026 Main Roads resurfacing and patching contract to Allied Paving Contractors Inc. "The city received 10 bids and recommends awarding the contract to Allied Paving Contractors Inc as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder," O'Connor said. The presentation listed the main roads to be included and described patching planned for seven other roads.
Staff emphasized the total recommended expenditure is within the $1.6 million budgeted for the work in the 2026 budget. Councilmember Coughlin moved approval, which was seconded and approved by voice vote. The contract includes a $77,140 task order for construction engineering and inspection with Lowe Engineering.
City staff will proceed with executing the contract and scheduling work on the identified roads; the item did not prompt further council conditions.
