During the amended consent agenda, councilmembers reviewed a set of transportation items tied to previously authorized projects and authorized staff to pursue grant funding through the Atlanta Regional Commission's Transportation Improvement Project. The consent agenda packet included a recommendation to approve an engineering contract with Barge Design Solutions for the Medlock Bridge Trail for $143,312.
The Mayor noted the agenda included "resolution 26 6 10 of support for grant funding applications for previously authorized transportation projects through the Atlanta Regional Commission's Transportation Improvement Project" and the council approved the amended consent agenda by voice vote. Council also approved the staff recommendation to enter a project framework agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to accept federal Transportation Alternatives funds for engineering work on the Medlock Bridge Road Trail.
Councilmembers who spoke in favor said the contracts are within the 2026 budget and will help advance an important connectivity project in the city. No member requested that the item be pulled from consent for separate discussion.
