Board approves summer school programming and shared library/IMC director agreement

Trustees also approved updates to chapter 10 (student promotion and retention) for elementary and middle school sections during the meeting. The shared-library agreement will continue a 66.0301 arrangement (statutory cooperative school-district service) into the next school year; the motion to approve the agreement was made by Erica Bender and seconded by Douglas Eichten and carried on a voice vote.
District staff presented Family Literacy Night and other program activities during the principal’s report, and board materials confirmed dates for upcoming events (Family Literacy Night held the prior week; Sweet Treat Social on June 6; Visioneers art sale May 9). The board did not provide additional contract text or dollar amounts for the shared agreement during the public meeting.
