District to reintroduce DECA and forensics amid student interest

District Administrator Nick Kaiser reported the district has student interest in re-establishing DECA and forensics at the high school. The minutes state both programs ‘‘have not been active during the last several years’’ and that they are currently listed on Schedule B.
The board did not vote to reinstate either program at the Sept. 3 meeting; staff will follow the usual scheduling and advisor-assignment processes for Schedule B activities if student interest and staffing align.
