“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth,” Heredia said, quoting Muhammad Ali as she reflected on stepping down and thanked staff, students and family. Trustees presented a plaque honoring “24 years of service and dedication as a member of the board of trustees.” A short reception followed the recognition.
