Whitehall principal Jason Slater named Montana Principal of the Year

Rob Watson, executive director for school administrators in Montana, told the Whitehall School District board that Jason Slater had been named Montana Principal of the Year by the Montana Association of Secondary School Principals. "So it's my honor to share that mister Slater has been named as Montana Principal of the Year by the Montana Association of Secondary School Principals," Watson said, and invited the district to celebrate Slater at the January principals' conference.
Board members and attendees responded with applause and brief remarks praising Slater's leadership, noting his focus on students, staff growth and community partnerships. The district will recognize Slater more formally in January and Watson said Slater will represent Montana in the national principal of the year competition.
