Trout Lake council declares seat vacant after absences, outlines candidate outreach

At the Dec. 3 meeting, the council confirmed that Council Position #6 (Beyyine Ozkan) was considered vacant after three unexcused absences, and noted that no formal vote was required to declare the vacancy.
Daina Bambe stated, "Position considered vacant after 3 missed absences without excuse." The council then agreed to contact possible write-in candidates: Travis will contact Jamie Davis; Tom will contact Cody; Dave will contact Tina and Tony; and Jim will contact Scott, Aaron and Joe. The council did not record a formal appointment at the meeting and will follow up with these contacts.
