HDR Engineering representatives updated commissioners on the Flint Creek Dam comprehensive assessment, reporting that field inspections and risk‑assessment workshops were completed on schedule and produced generally positive findings. "HDR is currently preparing the Comprehensive Assessment Report and Risk Report, which will be provided to the County and project partners for review before being submitted to FERC later this year," Jessica Rudd told the board.
Rudd said a FERC review meeting would be scheduled approximately 45 days after report submission and offered to present periodic updates to the County; commissioners agreed that future updates could occur during regular meetings while the formal FERC review meeting would be scheduled separately due to its expected two‑hour length. During public comment a resident inquired about the county's cost for HDR's contract; the commission said specific expenditure information would be provided following the meeting and noted potential Title III funding eligibility for future dam safety costs subject to RAC approval.
