San Elizario ISD board approves Targeted Improvement Plan for San Elizario High School

San Elizario Independent School District trustees voted to approve the Targeted Improvement Plan for San Elizario High School after a presentation from district staff on Feb. 12.
Ms. Blanca Cruz and Mr. Troy Enriquez presented the plan and Board President Eduardo Chavez said the board would back staff efforts. "the Board Members will support the staff as they complete the Targeted Improvement Plan," he said. Trustee Sandra Licon moved to approve the plan and Trustee Guadalupe Caro seconded; the motion passed.
The approved plan is intended to address campus-specific performance gaps identified in the 2023-2024 performance reports referenced earlier in the meeting. District staff did not specify a public timeline for implementation during the open discussion; trustees offered support and directed administration to continue the work.
