Trustee Lawrence asked trustees to discuss snow-emergency parking and obstacles to plowing after recent heavy snowfall, saying some narrow streets were difficult to clear because vehicles were parked and that the village should consider options to keep vehicles away during storms. "We knew we had this big snow coming this time... we do something to keep some of the vehicles backed off with something like a big snow coming in," Lawrence said.
Lawrence asked Clerk Jayme to add the item to the Committee Meeting Agenda so trustees can review related ordinance language and possible enforcement steps; Dees and other trustees agreed in principle that safety and liability warrant further discussion. The board did not adopt a new rule on Jan. 13 but agreed to address the item at a future committee meeting.
