Trustee Nelson said he contacted a staff member in Taylorville to learn how that city records and uploads meetings and reported Taylorville is preparing to upgrade to an Owl system but currently uses a Panasonic recorder that stores video on an SD card for manual upload.
Nelson said the Panasonic solution (provided through CTI) had worked for Taylorville and that Taylorville's staff could complete the upload process in about five minutes. Nelson asked Jayme to explore whether Kincaid could mount or stand a similar recorder, whether CTI could support setup, and whether Taylorville might sell its existing equipment as it upgrades. Jayme confirmed the village previously paid about $400 for its prior recorder.
Trustee Nelson said the village should aim to have reliable recording and upload capability restored soon and asked staff to research options and costs.
