Board adopts curriculum updates, special education CBI participation and remote learning plan
Summary
Board approved ELA curriculum adoptions (Units of Study K–3, Amplify CKLA grades 4–5, Amplify ELA 100-Day grades 6–8), confirmed district acceptance into the CBI project cohort, and approved the 2025–26 Remote Learning Plan and curriculum adoptions.
During the Superintendent’s report the Board recorded district curriculum actions for the coming year: adoption of Units of Study for Reading in grades K–3; Amplify CKLA for grades 4–5; and Amplify ELA 100‑Day plus novel studies for grades 6–8. The minutes state teachers are completing benchmark assessments (Writing, DIBELS, F&P/TC) and entering data into LinkIT! to inform instruction.
The Special Education Department was accepted into the New Jersey Department of Education’s 2025–2026 Community Based Instruction (CBI) Project Cohort to expand CBI at Memorial Middle School. The Board also approved the 2025–2026 Remote Learning Plan (resolution 225-413) and re-adopted district policies and procedural manuals, as recorded in the minutes.
