At the June 9 meeting the Woodland Park Board approved a slate of personnel actions including retirements (Gloria Ortiz, Memorial lunch aide, effective June 30; Richard DePrizio, custodian, effective June 30), resignations (including Brittany Davis and others) and new hires across grade levels for the 2025–26 school year. Multiple hires (teachers, custodians, aides) were listed with step and salary or hourly rates (for example, full-time custodians at Step I $49,765; teacher starting salaries listed as BA Step 1 $62,805).
The Board also approved the Extended School Year (ESY) program for July 1–Aug 7, 2025 for autistic preschool, child with disabilities and LLD instruction (resolution 225-435). ESY staffing includes three Speech-Language Specialists at $48/hr, three school nurses at $48/hr (example Teresa Carbonelli, Charles Olbon site, 8:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.), and 14 autistic program aides at $27.79/hr. A stipend for nurses accompanying a student on the bus was approved at $48/hr, not to exceed one hour per day.
