Staff reported a site visit with Northeast Water and said the proposed well location beyond the fence line posed truck-access and environmental concerns; the consultant recommended moving the well inside the school fence. "I think we should bring that well inside the fence line squarely on our property," a staff member said, citing truck access and EPA sensitivity to cutting trees and disturbing habitat.
Staff proposed splitting the work into two procurements: the first RFP would cover drilling and percolation testing, possibly as soon as the next month, and the second RFP in spring would cover piping, tank delivery, generator pad and mechanical hookups. The group also discussed management of drill spoils and potential site adjustments for the drill truck.
