The Beecher CUSD 200U board voted Jan. 14 to approve a contract with GRP for replacement of elementary-school windows at a contract price presented in the meeting as $283,560. District staff told trustees the project will be paid from Health Life Safety funds and noted the district’s life-safety fund balance at $565,820.
“I need a motion to approve the elementary school windows project for $283,560,” the chair said before the board moved, seconded and approved the contract by roll call. District staff said additional tuck-pointing options were discussed for later exploration but not included in the current contract.
