Project managers report progress on high school fire-protection work and canopy RFIs

Project staff updated the board that the high-school fire-protection work is largely up to date and under active review. "So the 1st page that you should see is the fire protection projects of high school," the presenter said, noting that most submittals have been reviewed and approved and that one additional submittal came in for July.
Staff said Delta Mechanical is reviewing RFI responses for canopy overhangs and that a response is expected later this week; kitchen work at the site is complete. School staff emphasized minimizing disruption to the start of the year, with one staff member saying, "Our opening day for staff is on the 24th, and he said that he would have his equipment out of there." The group agreed that contractors will clear spaces when needed so staff can use rooms and that noisy stage work would be staged to avoid affecting classroom activity.
