Resident questions meeting notice; board moves to executive session to discuss HIB cases, construction and personnel

During public comment, resident Marilyn Sica asked whether the special meeting was called because of the date or because of its agenda. Adam Weiss responded that "it is called a special meeting due to the fact that it was not advertised on the original posting of the board meetings" and added "this meeting was called for hiring purposes." The board provided the standard public-notice reminder that "Anything you say will be public record" and limited comments to three minutes under Bylaw 0167.
Later the board voted to enter Executive Session at 7:10 p.m. (motion by Andrew Mingione, seconded by Julisa Rodriguez; voice vote 8 YES). The Executive Session minutes note discussion of three HIB case numbers (2025-55, 2025-56 and 2025-57), construction at the Early Childhood Center and personnel matters. The board returned to open session at 8:00 p.m. and adjourned the meeting. The minutes state that matters discussed in Executive Session will be made public when confidentiality is no longer required.
