The Woodland Park Board of Education approved education agenda items 226-18 through 226-20 on July 1, appointing Affirmative Action officers for the 2025–26 school year and authorizing the Affirmative Action Team to conduct needs assessments and develop a Corrective Equity Plan (CEP) if needed.
Appointed officers include Giovanna Irizarry (District Affirmative Action Officer) and Samantha Krasnomowitz (District Alternate), with building representatives named for Beatrice Gilmore, Charles Olbon, Memorial and the Preschool. The board also approved internship hours for Rutgers University student Ava Abbatiello (15 hours per week for 15 weeks). The motion passed on roll call with eight votes in favor.
