Neighbors cite height, modern style and rushed process in Park Drive public comments

David Joyce told the commission that residents "did not have sufficient time to review the revised concept," framing a procedural concern about notice and review time.
A number of residents focused on neighborhood impacts. Eric Miller, a rear neighbor, said he was worried about the building's height and its visual impact on his backyard, noting apprehension about "facing a large wall." Rob Wiebking said the rear elevation design could affect his view and potentially impact alley traffic. Jeanne Keiler and others questioned whether the proposed public benefits justified increasing height from 35 to 40 feet. Justin Kozlowski said the design "did not fit within Kenilworth" and described it as "overly modern."
Several commenters also raised broader concerns about process and precedent. Bill Tribe suggested the application should restart; Marjie Zander expressed concern about size and density. The hearing record shows the ARC received these comments and then asked the applicant to consider specific design changes; no commission action to restart the application was taken at the meeting.
