Trout Lake council reviews treasurer report, discusses ATV roads letter and community training plans

During the Feb. 4 meeting the council reviewed routine administrative items and several community concerns.
Tom Binder reported the council balance is $1,500 and noted there has been no response yet from the state Department of Commerce. Members discussed a proposed letter about four-wheeler (ATV) use on county roads and agreed to gather more information on whether any countywide ordinance applies or whether the concern is limited to specific roads; Pat Arnold and Commissioner Andrews were noted as follow-up contacts for clarification.
Joanna Turner recommended that council members identify themselves and their positions during Zoom meetings; she also said she is working on suicide-prevention trainings for the community. The council scheduled future agenda topics including an update from Klickitat PUD and invited Commissioner Andrews and Jeff Hunter to attend early meetings in March/April.
