Library reports strong summer reading participation, new programs and events

Lisa Frost, who handles social media marketing and PR for the library, updated the council on summer programs and upcoming events.
"We just concluded our summer reading for 2026. We had saw an increase in participants registered and participants that completed the program," Frost said, noting strong engagement across children, teens and adults. She said a finale video featuring Donald Dewey drew more than 5,700 views, with 800 views in the first 10 minutes of posting.
Frost reported a dementia caregiver group ran on a trial basis through July and may be continued; she also announced an Oct. 25 estate-planning seminar by Provident Law Firm offering free advice on wills, trusts and probate considerations. The library will host ongoing teen craft activities and a Tot Time Musical Munchkins series at the community center through the end of August.
