Erin Black briefed the council on the Little White Resiliency and Fire Risk Reduction Project, a vegetation-thinning and restoration effort east of the Big Lava Bed and north of Willard.
Black said the collaborative group is still debating the management of Forest Road 6615. If the decision to decommission the road is finalized, implementation could begin as soon as next summer. An environmental assessment is expected by the end of the month.
