Granite County raises rent on Hall rental house to $1,175 and orders water filters

Commissioner Adler moved to increase monthly rent from approximately $775 to $1,175 and to provide appropriate water filters; Commissioner McLure seconded the motion and it carried following public comment. Public participant Elena Gagliano requested that the water report be made available to the public and sought clarity on the county's role as landlord; the Board agreed to provide the testing results and to consider additional testing if conditions change.
The Board directed staff to implement the rent increase to better cover ongoing costs and to install or provide faucet filters rather than pursue a larger water system at this time. Commissioners noted the possibility of future testing or treatment if conditions warrant.
