Jasmine Johnson asked the commissioners to approve applying for a specialized court-based programs grant to continue funding a certified peer-support specialist who supports accountability-court participants. Johnson said the county applied for and received this grant previously and credited the specialist with serving 79 new applicants and guiding 40 graduates through a six-week orientation in FY26.
"I'm asking to apply for $50,928," Johnson said, noting the request is a modest increase from last year to expand hours and support certification maintenance. She told the board the grant has no local match and is reimbursable. The board had no questions that required immediate action and the item was scheduled to be taken up at the regular evening meeting.
