Village reports $1.44 million available cash; treasurer presents first draft budget

The Village of Marlborough's treasurer presented August 2025 figures at the Sept. 8 meeting. Chairman Bornmueller reported a beginning balance on July 31, 2025 of $3,600,686.82, receipts of $129,356.61 and disbursements of $69,186.76, for an ending balance of $3,660,856.67. After allocated amounts for the lateral sewer account ($25,456.71), capital improvements ($949,796.34), storm water ($1,133,267.13), ARPA ($112,350.00) and court funds ($2,629.81), the minutes list available cash on Aug. 31, 2025 as $1,437,356.68.
Trustees accepted the treasurer's report by voice affirmation. At the Sept. 2 work session the treasurer presented a first draft of the 2025 budget for board review; trustees will await auditor input before finalizing figures and proceeding with required hearings for tax-rate adoption.
