Doug Swain, owner of Boulder Creek Lodge, appeared before the Board seeking an encroachment permit for a driveway approach off Boulder Creek Road. County Planner Linda Bouck reviewed the property's history and reported no current planning violations; Mr. Swain said he had worked with Planning, the Sanitarian and DEQ and "suspended additional work until all required permits were issued."
County Attorney Blaine Bradshaw clarified that encroachment permitting was distinct from any DEQ or sanitation approvals, and the Commission voted unanimously to approve the encroachment permit with encouragement to continue coordinating with the Sanitarian and DEQ.
