Woodland Park BOE approves ESY, summer academic program staffing and therapy contracts

The Woodland Park Board of Education approved the district’s Extended School Year (ESY) program and summer academic staffing at its May 12 meeting.
The ESY approvals include autistic-program teachers (July 1–Aug 7), preschool disabilities and LLD teachers (July 1–24), speech-language specialists, school nurses and multiple program aides. ESY compensation recorded in the minutes is $48 per hour for teachers, nurses and contracted evaluation work; program aides are listed at $27.79 per hour. The board also approved contracts with outside providers for ESY services: Best of You Therapy for speech services at $100/hr. (not to exceed 3.5 hours/day for ESY) and Innovative Therapy Group for OT services at $79/hr. for ESY and the 2025–26 school year.
The board recorded staff names and site assignments for ESY and summer academic program roles and approved case-by-case contracted CST evaluation hours. The approvals were presented as part of the personnel and program consent items and were adopted by roll-call vote.
