Philipsburg library presents $130,422 FY2026–27 budget; mortgage down to $60,526 after extra payment

Sue Sweeney, Chair of the Library Board, presented the Philipsburg Area interjurisdictional library district’s proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget of $130,422 in revenues and expenditures and reported the library had met the State's Public Library Standards and maintained its certification.
Sweeney said proceeds from the library's 2020 fundraiser enabled an additional $25,000 mortgage payment that reduced the remaining balance to $60,526; she also reported insurance costs came in below the amount budgeted. Commissioners accepted the proposed budget for submission to the Clerk and Recorder.
