District audit returns unmodified opinion; preliminary FY27 shows modest elementary increase and larger high-school increase

Superintendent Mrs. Neeson presented the 96-page annual audit and told trustees the district received an unmodified opinion, the highest level of audit result and indicating no findings or deficiencies.
She also provided preliminary FY27 budget apportionment figures the district will use to draft the August budget: an elementary increase of $1,679 and a high school increase of $103,749, the latter attributed in part to enrollment shifts. The superintendent said the district will continue to work on accounting and budget options to address staff wage increases and deferred maintenance needs before the formal budget is approved in August.
