Whitehall FFA member elected Montana state treasurer as local teams place at state

A student representative for Whitehall FFA told the Whitehall School District board that several teams qualified at the Montana FFA state convention in Great Falls and that five students received state degrees.
"So this next year, I'll be serving as Montana FFA state treasurer, and I'm greatly looking forward to this opportunity in being able to grow and help serve members of Montana FFA," the student said, reporting that Miles McLean, Riley Bridal, Braxton Walker and Anna Frater were among the state-degree recipients and that several team contests and proficiency applications were successful. The speaker also said both they and Miles McLean won proficiency awards tied to supervised agricultural experiences and will represent Montana and Whitehall FFA at the National Convention this fall.
Board members congratulated the chapter during the meeting and noted the significance of the leadership commitment: one student will defer college to serve as a state officer. The remarks were delivered during the public presentations portion of the meeting and required no board action.
