City human resources staff presented organizational changes for parks operations and the council approved them unanimously on May 26. HR Manager Tiffany Caudill said the new Parks & Recreation Crew Leader position will operate under the Public Works Department and perform duties similar to existing Crew Leader roles in Public Works. Council members approved the new job description on a unanimous voice vote.
Caudill also reviewed revised job descriptions for Park Maintenance III, II and I, saying those positions will now fall under Public Works and report to the new Parks & Recreation Crew Leader. Council Member Mike Swafford moved to approve the changes and Council Member Sherry Yeager seconded; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. City staff will implement the new reporting structure within Public Works.
