Residents, board praise holiday event; concerns raised about park lighting and parking

During Old Business the board reviewed the recent Holiday Event. Recreation Chair Arlette Zambito said the event was "magical and like a winter wonderland," thanked volunteers and the Recreation Committee, and noted a Grinch movie screening scheduled for Dec. 14, 2025 at the Community Center.
Councilman Cauchi raised concerns about non-working lights at the park and recommended placing a park map at the entrance. Chief Cocozza said the Highway Department and Central Hudson are evaluating the lighting. Supervisor Corcoran said the town pays $950.00 per month for park lighting, reported three lights are out, and said the town is exploring options and plans to add more parking. During public comment CAC Chair Mici Simonofsky asked whether Community Center heat and lighting are regulated and said she will look into grants for solar lighting.
