Marlborough board approves $335,551 in bills, facility uses and early-voting agreement for November

The Marlborough Town Board voted unanimously to authorize payment of the abstract in the amount of $335,551.00 and approved a series of administrative motions and facility-use requests at its Feb. 9 meeting.
Councilman Cauchi made the motion to authorize payment of bills; Councilman Appler Jr. seconded and the motion carried 5–0. Supervisor Corcoran reported the town’s annual property insurance cost is $232,894.00 and salt expenditures were $24,123.00, figures he provided while the board considered the abstract.
The board approved two facility-use requests read into the record by Supervisor Corcoran: the Marlboro Milton Lions Club was granted use of the Cluett Schantz Memorial Park pavilion at no charge on July 1, 2026 (with kitchen access on June 30), and Boy Scouts Troop 72 was approved for a camping weekend in May. Both motions were moved by Councilwoman Sessa, seconded by Councilman Appler Jr., and carried 5–0.
On election logistics, the board voted to allow the Supervisor to sign an early voting agreement for the general election. The board agreed not to host early voting for the primary (citing the possibility there will be no primary and heavy Community Center use). The board discussed that early voting would be held on the north side of the Marlborough Community Center and that the fee is $100 per day (nine days totaling $900).
