Councilmember Meir Araman presented the June police report and requested a special meeting with the Finance Committee specifically to review the study portion of a proposed streetlight project; he said once the study is complete the project can be brought to council for approval and that study funds had been placed in the previous year's capital budget.
Separately, Councilmember Candace M. Faust reported on DPW cleanup after recent storms and said she will provide a detailed breakdown of the borough's in-house garbage collection proposal—covering purchase, maintenance, fuel and labor—and asked council members to submit questions so the item can be discussed in August. Faust said she would follow up with answers and present the breakdown at a future meeting.
Both items were framed as requiring additional analysis and committee review rather than immediate council action. Araman made the request for the Finance Committee meeting during his report; Faust scheduled follow-up for August to provide financial detail on the in-house program.
