Council approves consent agenda, routine redemptions and bill list; closed session authorized for litigation

The governing body approved several routine administrative matters on July 8, acting on motions and a single combined consent agenda. On the consent agenda the council adopted Resolutions 143–148, which included authorization to cancel and endorse tax-sale certificate redemptions (Resolution 143-2026), release of a Tesla escrow account (Resolution 144-2026), approval to submit an NJDOT application (Resolution 145-2026), ratification of amended Monmouth Municipal JIF bylaws (Resolution 146-2026), waiver of raffle fees for Eatontown Elks #2402 (Resolution 147-2026), and authorization to apply for Monmouth County Open Space Trust funds for the Bliss Price Arboretum bridge project (Resolution 148-2026).
Earlier in the Workshop portion the council read and adopted Resolution 142-2026 authorizing an executive session to discuss litigation; the council entered closed session at 7:10 p.m. and returned at 7:31 p.m. The council approved the bills & claims and bi-weekly payroll by voice vote. Roll-call votes on items requiring roll call were recorded with Councilmembers East, Araman, Faust, Jones and Lawson voting Aye; Councilmember Escalante was absent.
