Finally, the council approved a contract extension with Firematic Supply Company, Inc. (Rocky Hill) for 10 sets of firefighter personnel protective equipment at $4,327 per set. A council member noted the unit price has increased compared with the original vendor price, and staff pointed to a spreadsheet/memo authorizing up to a 10% annual increase under a prior approval.
